Every 3rd Tuesday of the month the Global Groove JAM is hosted by Pavel Shalman and Jovan Torbica feat. special guests. This time the opener set will feature two veterans from the Balkan / Gypsy scene: Mitke Sarlandziev on accordion and vocals and Gulgeman Dalip on guitar and vocals. The band will play a mixture of Gypsy, Balkan, Greek, Arabic and Indian songs. After the 1st set, the stage is open to all musicians. All styles of World Music are welcome!
Mitke Sarlandziev is a world class Accordion player, with a passionate voice reminiscent of the late Saban Bajramovic. Born to a musical Roma (Gypsy) family in Macedonia on the Greek border. Played in the famous “Romalen Orchestra” and accompanied pretty much every ex-Yugoslavian folk star. Mitke is also a fix member of the Wiener Tschuschenkapelle.
Gulgeman Dalip is a Turkish Roma from Macedonia. He sings in Romani, Macedonian, Tirkish, Arabic and Indian. Back home he played with the famous Muharem Serbezovski. Here in Vienna Gulgeman in a well-known face on the Balkan wedding and club scene.
