Welcome to "Vienna 1st Official Folk Club",run by "Folk Acoustic Revolution".

Opening Night will be on Sunday June 13th @ 20.00,and will be held @ Weberknecht - Lerchenfeldergürtel 47-49 1160 Vienna.

It say Mic Night now,but we want to make it with Special Guest appearance for a Folk Band & Support.

It will be held on every Sunday following,and we will be having Concerts,Traditional Sessions,Mic Nights,Cd Presentations,and Festivals.

Here are the dates so far for June,July & August.

13th June - Mic Night for all musicians to come down,and show us what you got to offer.The easiest way to get a booked Concert @ Vienna Folk Club.(With Guest Band(s) on this opening night).

1) Singvogel - This Folk band played @ Vienna Open Air Folk Festival on the Donau Insel in 2009.Will be great to hear them again on the Opening night of Vienna Folk Club

20th June - Traditional Session Night.Bring your instruments,and come & join the circle of musicians.(No Drum-kits)(Unplugged)

27th June - "Anything Goes" Night - Concert,Mic night with Guests,Small Festival,or Cd Presentation.
Will be another Concert @ Vienna Folk Club.

1) Freespirit Acoustic Folk "n" Roll band taking the stage,and another Band or Musician.

04th July - Concert - As its "Independance Day",and we thought its a nice theme,we will be have some Band(s) or Musician(s) from U.S.A.play @ Vienna Folk Club.

1) Michael Phillips (U.S.A.) - playing his 12 String,6 String,and Dobro Guitars,will be good to see Michael on the stage @ Vienna Folk Club - Door Entry Concert.

11th July - Mic Night for all musicians to come down,and show us what you got to offer.The easiest way to be booked for a concert @ Vienna Folk Club.

18th July - Traditional Session Night.Bring your instruments with you,and come and join the circle of musicians.(No Drum-kits)(Unplugged)

25th July - Concert,Cd Presentation,small Festival (T.B.A.)

01st August - Concert Folk Band(s)

08th August - Folk Mic Night

15th August - Traditional Session

22nd August - "Anything Goes" Folk Night - (T.B.A.)

29th August - Extra Sunday Folk Night in August - Folk Solo Concert + Folk Mic night with Guest musicians.

1) Chester Weybourne (U.k.)
Chester is touring Europe,playing in Belguim,Switzerland,and Austria,has been playing all over U.K..
2) David Galien (A) (T.B.C.) David is a well know Folk musician in Vienna,and will be playing his folky tunes on Bouzouki,and other instrument which he plays.Door Entry on the night

With Folk Mic Night after the guest so come down with your instruments,and step up onto the stage after the guests.

Message me if you have a Folk Band,or a Folk musician,including - Blues,Traditional,Singer/Songwriter,Folk Rock.

On Concert & Cd Presentation nights there will be a door entry,and Mic Nights (unless we have guests),Traditional Sessions a hat will go around.
All nights will be held upstairs @ Weberknecht ,except for large Concerts Downstairs.
Traditional Sessions and Jams will be unplugged.

1st Sunday - Concert
2nd Sunday - Folk Mic Night
3rd Sunday - Traditional Session
4th Sunday - "Anything Goes" - Concert,Cd Presentation,Small Festival,Mic Night with Guests.
5th Sunday - "Anything Goes" - Concert,Folk Mic Night,Cd Presentation,Small festival.

At the moment Door entry will be payment fees for bands/musicians on Concerts & Guests Nights on Mic Nights,while we are getting established.The Door entry will be split a 75/25 % for Bands/musicians & Folk Acoustic Revolution,which will also provide a box of beer for Bands/musicians,so we can build upon making more events,and advertising better.

Also other events,if anyone would like to do for instance a Folk Music Workshop,Traditional Dance Session or a Cd Folk Flee Market,this could be held in the afternoon @ Vienna Folk Club.
If there are any people who would like to make something like this @ Vienna Folk Club,message me and we can talk about your concept,and what is possible as long as it has something to do with Folk,Tradition we are up for it,and all is possible. Be part of Vienna Folk club,bring Folk music to Austria.
